What to look out for in UNC CHEM 101
-
Exam Difficulty
Topics tend to be scattered and out of order throughout CHEM 101 exams. Questions are rarely repeated verbatim and change from semester to semester.
-
Past Exam Keys
When you tutor with me, I give you full access to my extensive CHEM 101 exam keys. Each professor has their own exam collection, but it's up to the individual teacher to decide how much is shared publicly with students. Simply ask your professor!
-
Exam Details
Exams are 50% multiple choice and 50% short answers. You'll usually see 1 or 2 tricky calculation questions that contain a "concept within a concept" and the exams are designed so that the majority of the class can finish quickly, but not accurately.
-
Homework Execution
In the Mastering Chemistry system, professors tend to pick questions that are tedious and they only give students 3 attempts. Tutor with me and I'll guide you on how to execute on these problems and keep your grade up.
